MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION IN CHILDCARE

Medication is usually given at home by Parental/Guardian.

When a Child attends a Childcare Facility, the Medication can be administered by Childcare Providers to maintain the health of the child, prevent illness or relieve symptoms.  

To administer medication, Childcare Providers have to comply with Best Practice.

This course provides knowledge and skills to Childcare Providers which covers procedures for receiving, storing, preparing, administering, documentation and follow up techniques.
